With nearly four decades of experience in conflict resolution and conflict management, Lt. General Iqbal Singh Singha is highly decorated Indian Army General that has attained many challenging and varied appointments in India and abroad. A negotiations and mediation expert, he has represented the country in United Nations peacekeeping on two different occasions on deputation. As Head of the Mission and Force Commander on deputation to UN at Golan Heights, for peacekeeping between Syria and Israel. By expert negotiations and mediation skills and using diplomatic leverages, he was able to get back safely nearly two hundred peacekeepers taken as prisoners by armed groups in Syria in different incidents. He has also addressed the Security Council on two occasions on prevailing situation on Middle East.
