1 . Salvator Mundi (US$450.3 million)

Salvator Mundi is the most expensive painting in the world which is drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci in the 1500s. Because of its authenticity and high value it was kept under radar. There are some rumours regarding the painting.  Some say that the painting was held up in the Saudi's Prince's yatch. Now it is in kept reserved for display at Saudi's future cultural center in Al Ula , according to the reports of the Wall street journal.

2 . Interchange (US$ 300 million)

This painting was drawn by William De Kooning who was a Dutch-American.  He was an abstract painter and Interchange was his first abstract landscape works. It is currently kept on loan at the art institute of Chicago.

3 . The card players (US$ 200 - 300 million)

Paul Cezzane made this painting when he was the most-acclaimed. The Royal family of Qatar bought this painting in 2011.

4 . Nafea FAA Ipoipo (US$ 300 million)

This painting was drawn by Paul Gaugain.  The absolute translation of the name 'Nafea Faa Ipoipo ' is 'when you will marry ' . He completed this painting in post-impressionist 1892. The painting features two Tahiti women sitting, where Gaugain spent some of his time resting in the way of his journey .

5 . Number 17 A (US$ 200 million)

This painting was drawn by Jackson Pollock who was one of the most famous painters. He was also an abstract painter.  Originally the cost of the painting was US$ 200 million but the deal cost him US$ 500 million.

6 . No. 6 Violet Green and Red (US$ 186 million)

This painting was drawn by a Russian-American painter Mark Rothko in 1951. Mark Rothko was also a famous abstract expressionist painter. A Russian Billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev bought this painting.

7 . Wasserschlangen (US$ 170 million)

The translation of the word 'Wasserschlangen ' is 'water serpents'. This was drawn by a Gustav Klimt, a famous Austrian painter.  The painting features some elements of gold leaf.

It was also bought by Dmitry Rybolovlev who is also known to have owned the most expensive painting in the world i.e, the Salvator Mundi.

8 . Pendant portraits of Maerten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit (US$ 180 million)

This is a couple painting of Maerten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit during their wedding. It was drawn in 1634 by Rembrandt Van Rijn. It belonged to the Roths child family.  But it is currently present at the Rijksmuseum and is co-owned by it and the Louvre.

9 . Les Femmes D'Alger  (Version O) (US$ 179.4 million)

This painting was drawn by the famous painter Pablo Picasso.  This painting was bought by the Royal family of Qatar in 2015.

Version O is one of the 15 piece collection owned by the Ganz family.  It is also considered as the masterpiece among the other paintings.

10 . Nu Couche (US$ 170 million) 

This painting was drawn by Amedeo Modigliani which was sold in 2015 . It was first shown in front of the public in 1917. It was bought by the Chinese Billionaire Liu Yiqian for US$ 170.4 million in 2015.
