Bhojia Charitable Trust for Science Research and Social Welfare (Regd.) had a vision of the advancement of religious and charitable objects of public nature. This was to establish institutions for providing educational and medical facilities in various disciplines besides alleviation of poverty, especially in the northern belts of the country. The Trust came into existence in June 1997 with its Head Office at Chandigarh. With the above-cherished desire in view, the founder Trustees in their first endeavor set up Bhojia Dental College & Hospital in the year 1999 in the state of Himachal Pradesh with the vision “Health for all.” It is a private unaided/self-financing institute. The institution has been successfully running for over two decades with excellence in the academic field. The quality of education and clinical exposure is on par with the best possible standards.

Completing two glorious decades of excellence in the field of academics, under the dynamic leadership of Sh.Vikram Bhojia – Secretary of the trust; the college has cultivated an excellent repute with the medical industry that helps the students to stay upgraded with the contemporary information and happenings. According to Dr. Tarun Kalra – Principal, the institute is well equipped with advanced teaching aids and types of equipment. The institute boasts to be the first and only dental college to be accredited with NAAC in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This ensures quality in both education and patient treatment. The institute is impanelled with ESI and H.P. Government, which allows an abundant inflow of patients. This allows for students to actively visualize and learn about various disorders affecting the head and neck region and treat such disorders in the future.
The lush-green campus is well equipped with the entire advanced teaching aids, wi-fi connectivity, and equipment. The college block consists of lecture theatres equipped with audio- visual learning aids and the students are given hands-on experience and training by experienced faculty in the various teaching departments, laboratories, as well as in the clinics of the dental hospital.
Bhojia Dental College and Hospital provides every type of dental treatment like major surgeries, dentures, ceramic crowns, gum treatment, restorative treatment, OPG, and Orthodontics treatments. Also, the hospital section has a full-fledged community service department with a fully equipped Mobile Dental Van. The college regularly organizes camps at villages and schools covering remote areas as a regular feature.
The college is duly approved and recognized by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi and affiliated to H.P. University, Shimla for its various courses. The college and hospital will soon be undergoing NABH accreditation as well to add another feather in its cap. The institute has the following courses:

Grooming Students for Better Outcomes
Having a total number of 90 full-time and dedicated faculty members, the students are evaluated and monitored based on regular tests and discussions that are performed in the classroom. The students are given practical training and they also get a chance to treat patients owing to the good OPD of the institute. This enables them to treat a variety of patients suffering from different disorders and ultimately they become masters of the subject. In this way, they can start their private practice or join various hospitals. Moreover, some of them also enroll themselves in post- graduation. The institute also recruits its students at various faculty positions as required.
Major Events and Collaborations
The institute hosts its annual fest regularly, in which students showcase their talent in extra- curricular activities. This ensures the overall development of the student. The institute also hosted the First Combined Conference cum Fest of all the dental colleges in the State of Himachal Pradesh in March 2018. It regularly organizes various CDE programs in which stalwarts of dentistry are invited to speak on a topic of interest for the students and faculty members and various hands-on courses are also conducted for a practical demonstration of advanced procedures.
Moreover, the institute has international collaborations with Universities in Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, and other dental Universities within India. The students regularly visit these universities for observers, where they can learn dentistry from a different perspective altogether.
