Shrikhande Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (SCPL), formerly known as N. N. Shrikhande & Co., is a Mumbai based consulting engineering firm and a pioneer in Project Management Consultancy in India. The firm has executed a wide range of civil engineering projects of varying nature and magnitude for more than 50 years which include structural designs, MEP, project management, technical audit (for quality & cost), third party monitoring and some other services in collaboration with the concerned professionals in their respective areas. Shrikhande Consultants is one of the oldest consulting firms in the country which offers end-to-end infrastructure solutions. SCPL is also one of the first few consultants in scientific and engineered rehabilitation of the aging multi-storied structures of Mumbai.
The consultancy has worked on various projects which include residential and institutional buildings/complexes, industrial complexes, infrastructural works comprising highways, bridges, flyovers, marine structures etc.

As for project management engineering is concerned, apart from implementing the requisite functions under its role with substantial care and concern, SCPL lays particular emphasis on constructability issues, supply chain management, coordination issues with multitude of different agencies (owners, architects, consultants and contracting agencies in different disciplines, etc.), safety awareness and finally while operating the contract, to act as quasi-arbitrator within the framework of contract to avoid future disputes.
Shaping the Journey
Mr. N. N. Shrikhande – Chairman Emeritus established the firm under the name Shrikhande & Vajifdar in 1959. Initially, it was only a two-man consulting firm and was later changed to Shrikhande & Co. in 1962. In late 1978, the firm emerged as Shrikhande Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (SCPL) with Mr. N. N. Shrikhande as the first Chairman and Managing Director.
For about two decades, the consultancy was involved in only structural designing work such as high-rise and industrial buildings, infrastructural works like road over bridges/underpasses, fly-overs, inter-changes, special tall structures like chimneys and elevated reservoirs adopting different materials, like RCC and pre-stressed concrete, structural steel etc. and using different forms for roofs like shells and folded plates etc.
Presently, SCPL is governed by Mr. Ravindra N. Shrikhande – Chairman and Mr. Rajeev Shrikhande – Managing Director.
Acknowledging the changing scenario in the country as well as the needs of clients, the consultancy diversified the services and also began proffering services like planning, designing, quantity surveying, project/construction management, audit etc. in civil and allied branches of engineering disciplines.
Today, the firm works on different projects with reputed clients across the length and breadth of the country. SCPL also works with renowned multinational clients as part of a consortium, associate consultants, in-joint ventures or sub-consultants in some cases.
From a two-man consulting firm to employing over 175 permanent staff which includes engineers and allied professionals, management experts and computer specialists, the company has grown multifold. SCPL enjoys an uninterrupted growth rate and is scaling greater heights.

- The institution of Engineers (India), Belapur local Centre adjudged Vishnudas Bhave Natya Griha, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, the project managed by SCPL, as the second-best infrastructure building.
- Institution of Engineers (India), Belapur local Centre had placed SCPL as second, in the competition Organized on the subject ‘Best Housing Scheme’ in Thane and Raigad Districts.’
- Certificate for ‘Excellence in Productivity, Quality, Innovation and Management’ by the Institute of Economic Studies (IES), New Delhi.
