KIET was established in 1998 by Krishna Charitable Society at Ghaziabad, UP, and has a glorious legacy of 22 years. With thousands of alumni, the group at present has more than 5800 students enrolled.
KIET has embedded its name among the top institutions in the country. It has been ranked among top 25 in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (AIIRA), and among the top 250 institutes in India for its Engineering discipline in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) – India Ranking 2020 by MHRD, Govt. of India based on excellence in teaching, learning, research, and innovation.
KIET has been recognized with the title of Utkrishth Sansthan in category 3 (second position) in Utkristh SansthanViswakarma Award (USVA) 2020 under the theme ‘INDIA FIGHTS CORONA’ organized by AICTE.

To ensure this, KIET has taken a few initiatives such as providing international exposure to its students of all courses and streams through its International Relations Office (IRO) that looks after their international relations, collaborations, lectures, foreign languages, events, and internships.

Braving the Covid19 Odds
The motto of KIET Group of Institutions during COVID 19 has been “Learning never ceases.”
The Covid19 pandemic is no exception for KIET to deliver its best because adaptability is the first quality the institute prioritizes. Hence, when Govt. of India imposed lockdown in March 2020, the institute continued its excellent education without any hindrance.
The faculty, staff, and students of the institute joined hands together to ensure that the teaching-learning process should go on smoothly. Thus, the following steps were taken by the institute:
- Revised academic policy for the Coronavirus period
- The teaching-learning process was migrated to a virtual platform
- Video recordings, course file design on MOODLE, Development/ Uploading of e-content on KIET MOODLE Server have become some of the prominent routine actions for KIETians
- Mode of exam/assessment migrated from offline to online
- A well-structured SOP for Workplace during the COVID Lockdown period was adopted
The lockdowns have encouraged the institute to try something new and as a result, KIET is now all ready to implement a blended model of teaching-learning process after reopening.

KIET endeavors to achieve excellence in technical education and create competent professionals for the industry and socio-economic development to meet National & International needs. It is continuously improving the quality of higher and technical education to head on its way to become the most preferred institution in the country.
Presently, KIET is determined to be among the top 100 in NIRF ranking, among the top 10 in AIIRA ranking, and become an autonomous institute in 2021. It is also enhancing the teaching pedagogy via several development programs to achieve Grade ‘A++’ in NAAC.The institute is also aiming at setting more Centers of Excellence in the fields of IOT, MI, AI, and other highly advanced technologies in 2021.
